MAECEY MCCLAIN | ATTORNEY/OWNER
Maecey was born and raised in Wellston, Oklahoma. After graduating from Wellston High School, with a class of 37, she spent three years in Ada, Oklahoma obtaining a B.S. in Legal Studies from East Central University. Maecey then moved to San Diego for a year to pursue her Law Degree, though she ultimately returned home and obtained said Law Degree from The University of Oklahoma College of Law.
During her time at OU (University of Oklahoma), Maecey was named to the Dean’s Honor Roll, participated in the Organization for the Advancement of Women in Law (OAWL), elected the Justice (President) of the Harlan Chapter of Phi Alpha Delta, and studied for a semester at Worcester College of Oxford University in England.
In Maecey’s second year of Law School, she traveled to Washington D.C. to present a Human Rights research project to the US State Department which addressed the issues surrounding Freedom of Speech in the country of Tunisia.
Throughout Law School, Maecey focused her studies on International Law, specifically international Human Rights, and Business Law. Upon graduation, Maecey was afforded opportunities to learn and practice more locally relevant areas of law such as Family Law (divorce, paternity, adoption, guardianship, child support collection, etc.), Simple Estate Planning and Probate, and General Civil Litigation.

Barbara is the heart of MM Legal Group. She was born and raised in West Texas. She and her husband of 21 years moved to Oklahoma in 2002. Together, they are raising 3 amazing little “Okies”. They also share their home with 2 dogs and a very spoiled cat, each named after a character from The Last Airbender. She and her family love to travel, having a goal to see all 50 states before the youngest graduates high school (17 states so far!).
Barbara has been working with Maecey McClain for over two years and discovered a love for the law early on. She enjoys interacting with clients, and many clients (if not all clients) ask for her directly. Helping is second nature to her, and she is constantly striving to ensure the best communication between attorneys and clients.
Our goal is that every client feel heard and understood - Barbara is instrumental in achieving that goal. Even if that means calling back hours after an appointment to get clarification or asking a question you were too overwhelmed to think of during a meeting. Our team is lucky to have Barbara and we cannot wait for you to meet her!
